Mary, a little lamb...

She's so adorable!!

Okay, I know this is a winery blog but because we don't have the blog happening on the Morningstar Farm website (yet!) and I just had to share this video with you...   But, the winery is on the farm and the lamb is on the farm...  so...

This is Mary.  She was born the end of January with her twin brother.  For whatever reason her mother would not milk her - brother got full dibs? - go figure.  Anyhow, Mary is bottle fed every three hours and is doing great!

This is a video of Mary with Krissy.  Everytime Krissy moves Mary follows and fascinatingly stops right at Krissy's feet as soon as Krissy stops moving...  You can come visit Mary any day between 9 and 5!

And do some wine tastings (and cheese sampling) while you're here!!

Merridale Cider

Wow! What a Place!

Merridale Cider

Took a trip down island today to visit Merridale Cider...  we were so busy chatting we missed the exit and had to back track 10 minutes.  Once you're off the main highway pay attention for the not-so-big white signs with the apple - they'll tell you where to go...    My colleague who joined me had been before, yet I had not and Wow! What a Place!

Although it was closed for renovations to expand the retail area (yet open in time for Valentines!) we were warmly welcomed and given a look around by owner Janet Dochertly.

Pumpkin Wine

What to do with all those Jack-o-Lanterns...

Pumpkin Wine

Who Knew?!   Phil Knew!   For many years we've taken our used and discarded pumpkins to places like Cathedral Grove to enliven the roadway through the forest... Well, Phil's discovered a tastier demise for our Halloween cohort.

Phil Charlebois, Winemaker

A little about myself and the winery

Phil Charlebois, Winemaker

I wave the white flag and relinquish my photo to this darned website.

Yes, this is me. Phil Charlebois, MooBerry Winemaker. Although I do enjoy conversation, and welcome you to the farm any time to check out the winery and have a chat with me, writing and in particular writing about myself is a whole other pool of fish, ball of wax, etc, etc,......
